  • we joke about taylor and joe writing tragic / tragically good breakup songs together but deep down i find it SO beautiful.... they feel so good together, they are so sure of the love they have for each other, they are on THAT level of trust and being completely open with the other person that they are in fact able to write these fucked up breakup songs together.... that or they are just mocking us single hoes and going "what do you think the sad bitches are feeling", "do you remember what it felt like being heartbroken hahaha lololol"

  • the juxtaposition between swifties calling joe boring all the time and joe actually being kind of unhinged

  • i know like five things total about this man and what he’s about, but it all comes down to him writing gay little songs while puttering around the house, encouraging taylor to jump into a pool fully clothed in the winter, and visiting his local pubwe to watch rugby

  • “William Bowery is Joe, as we know. And Joe plays piano beautifully, and he’s always just playing and making things up and kind of creating things. And ‘exile’ was crazy ‘cause Joe had written that entire piano part, that… [scats] and it was singing the Bon Iver part, the ‘I can see you standing honey, with his arms around your body. Laughing but the jokes not funny at all’… yeah he [Joe] was just singing it. And I was entranced and asked if, we could keep writing that one. It was pretty obvious that it should be a duet ‘cause he’s got such a low voice and it sounded really good sung down there in that register. And then, we’re really, really, really big Bon Iver fans. And you know, we know that Aaron knows him.”
